The experiments with different types of salt showed that the Himalayan salt with big grains definitely are a bit too big: the finer sea / himalayan salt feels more relaxed when scrubbing the hands. They pink color looks very nice though.

Also, we found that getting this scrub massage at LUSH, was definitely the most relaxing experience because it's getting down for you instead of you doing it your self. But ofcourse, this can be a personal opinion so we will try and experience with both opportunities (doing it yourself vs letting it be done. )
TOUCH & FEEL
Touch

The sensation of touch is often overlooked, but a powerful way to unwind. Notice the pressure of your back on the bed or chair, or your feet touching the floor. Rub a piece of your clothing and notice the textures. Is it smooth or rough? Warm or cool? Touch something else and pay attention to the differences or similarities. Try creating art with modeling clay or finger paint. Feel more grounded by running your hands through sand or digging in the dirt. Touch the bark of a tree, pet a dog or cat, or give someone a hug. Hugging releases oxytocin, a chemical that makes us feel good and builds stronger connections among people. Hugging, and touch in general, lowers blood pressure, decreases the stress hormone cortisol. From a handshake, hug, pat on the back, or a massage, touch is a powerful way to promote your overall health.

Our tactile sense or sense of touch can bring us tranquility. When you swim your entire body is lightened as it is bathed and buoyed with refreshing water. Hot baths can ease stiffness and restore sore muscles. Stroking your cat or dog is proven to help people slow down and relax, and even lowers blood pressure. Massage is well known to reduce tension, promote healing and help us unwind. Touch from those we love has extra healing power because we add on elements of compassion, trust and love.
