DAVE HAKKENS - BREAKSOAP
The project break soap by Dave Hakkens was developed to tackle the downsides of a bar of soap and the soap pumps. Nowadays there are not a lot of soap bars because the soap pumps are more hygienic and easier to use. However, soap pumps contain a lot of chemicals and the packaging is not sustainable. Dave Hakkens wanted to make the soap bar more hygienic and easier, so it can be used again.

This soap block is cut up in portions. Every person can use their own part. Some portions are bigger than others, so if you have dirty hands, you take a bigger piece.

In every soap block there are 90 washes.

This project is an inspiration for us because it tackles a problem we also face with our scrubs.

We want to find a way to shape the scrub, however when we use a one piece shaped scrub it will be less attractive for people to us it because of hygienic reasons.

This project inspired us with the idea of breaking a piece of. We also want to include that in our salty pause.
